The Preston Innovations Extremity XTR Reel is a larger stepped up version of the original Extremity, designed for distance casting. Featuring a large, shallow spool, dual line clips and super slow oscillation. They make an ideal paring with the Preston Innovations Bait Up Xtreme Rod and Monster Xtreme Distance Feeder Rods.

What’s the difference between the Preston SD reel and the XTR please.

Hi David, hope this finds you well? Other than a couple of small features, the main difference is what the reels were designed for. The extremity is more of a long range/distance casting reel compared with the Centris. The Centris is more of an all-round reel. Perfect for commercials, rivers, short feeder fishing, waggler fishing etc. Hope this helps. Regards, Tackleuk
