Description
Daiwa's Black Gold family of reels, popular with anglers in both fresh and salt water. Constructed with an aluminium main body, with Daiwa's strong Digigear II drive held firmly in place when under load, maintaining a smooth power transfer and winding feel. This performance is further enhanced by the presence of 6 ball bearings, plus a graphite Air Rotor. Line release during the fight is also smooth thanks to the quality carbon washers.
This comprehensive range covers a whole range of size options. Offering the same combination of design features and technology from the smallest 2500, ideal for light spinning right up to the 8000 for deep water and big lures. From the 4500 size up the anti-reverse has been ‘designed out’, ensuring even higher mechanical strength and maximum drive gear size.

For a rod that size and carrying a'80-140g casting weight your probably looking at something maybe 3500 or 4000 size to cope with the larger lures etc.
