Description
Normark Avenger Match Rods seek to recreate the classic legendary Avenger that provides exceptional all round performance when targeting big chub and barbel in flowing water venues. Featuring Japanese 40T + 46T high modulus Toray® Carbon Blanks, Fuji® Alconite K-Frame Single Leg Tangle-free Guides and a Fuji® DPS Reel Seat. With improvements including a Fuji® NMV Anti-wrap Tip Guide and Aluminium laser engraved Normark® logo Butt Cap. Finished with a premium grade Portuguese cork handle. With several options available, a 13ft 3 pc, a 12ft/14ft and a new 15ft.
The 13ft is a lovely trotting rod be it for dace and roach or for chub. The rod has plenty of backbone to handle a hard fighting Chub and even Barbel yet is still soft enough in the tip for those less scrappy battles. This can be used as a traditional waggler rod also and is more than capable of casting a wide range of wagglers.
Equally at home punching out wagglers on still waters, the 12-14ft has been known to be used for slider fishing with really positive feedback. A joy to use at either length it’s at home on any venue and has more than enough power for those heavy slider floats and heavier wagglers.
The new 15ft model has been heavily requested and offers around 15% more power the 12-14ft. If you fish the Wye, Trent or Severn then this is the rod for this. This will provide a crisp line pick up and a progressive action.
