Questions and Answers

Q

Could you use these spod rods for marker work also or is it an out and out spod rod for baiting only? Thanks

By David Braithwaite - Merthyr Tydfil - 6th May 2025
A

Hi David,

Although its sold as a dedicated Spod rod most companies call them Spod & Marker as they're usually suitable for both.

Q

What is the principal difference between the spomb x and s rods. I have the S because that was all I could get short notice. Does the x just have more power? Thank you

By Stephen Taylor - Surrey - 16th Jan 2025
A

Hi Stephen, the main difference between the Spomb X and the Spomb S range,  is the use of electro bonded carbon and interlaminar resin in the X- Range. This makes the blank recovery faster, ensuring higher accuracy and casting performance. Kind Regards TackleUK
