Description
An affordable series of reels from Shimano, available in a range of sizes ideal for multiple applications from dropshotting and lure fishing, to match and feeder work. Using the same lightweight G-Free body design used on their more expensive reels. They’re equipped with 3 ball bearings, plus an additional roller bearing for smooth performance. The aluminium spools are cut with Shimano’s AR-C design angled front lip that allows line to release easier on the cast. This coupled with the Varispeed II line lay system gives great casting distance and accuracy. Can be loaded up with both mono and braided mainline.

1) Which size Shimano Catana FE reels are best matched with 1) 1-11g 7ft and 2) 14 to 40g 7ft 10 Catana FX spin rods? 2) I assume you can supply the rods also? 3) Prices/availability for 1) and 2) please.

The 1-11g would be ideal for the 1000 size and the 14-40g the 2500 size. Links in below to the reels and rods. FYI we only have the 14-40 in stock at the moment.'
