This compact version is great for people that use shorter 2-piece rods or longer 3-piece rods. The case is made from a super tough and rigid outer shell and a softer padded lining to help protect its contents. Will the drennan hard case 162cm fit my Penn 13ft 3 piece tidal xt and Penn xt 8000 reel whilst still attached to the rod or can you give me some options that will. Thanks, Nathan

Hi Nathan,
I think the problem will be the size of the reel. I don't think the reel will fit in the compact version. You may have a better chance with the standard size rather than the compact version. I have attached a link HERE to the larger version, there is a video of it at the bottom of the page that will give you a better idea of the size for the reel housing.

Hi Pieter,
You can comfortably fit 2 or 3 rods with reels in this case, but Drennan advise you can squeeze 4 in if you stagger the reel positioning.
