Description
Stroft GTM Monofilament 100m is a premium silicone-PTFE tempered mono ideal for a wide range of applications in both fresh and saltwater. The US magazine "THE FLYFISHERMAN" named STROFT GTM the absolute winner in breaking strength. The focus of the tuning process is on tensile strength while simultaneously optimizing maximum elasticity and suppleness. This process, which is constantly being further developed, mainly involves modifications to the now multi-stage tempering process. Hence the abbreviation GTM (Tempered Monofilament).
The composition of the polyamide alloy is also continuously being refined. If development results show clear improvements, these are incorporated into series production after extensive testing. Over the years, STROFT GTM, which undergoes all stages of refinement and tuning, has seen continuous improvements and optimizations not only in its knot strength (its most important property), but also in sliding friction, static friction, surface hardness, surface smoothness, yield strength, elongation at break, fine-load elongation, hook-up elongation, fighting elongation, sensitivity, feedback, memory, flexibility, suppleness, and softness. STROFT GTM is available in diameters from 0.10 mm to 0.22 mm in very fine increments.
Even more important than the fine diameter increments, however, is the resulting ability to select very precise breaking strengths. This ensures that there is the perfect STROFT GTM for every type of fishing and every application – with the highest possible linear and knot breaking strengths, combined with optimal tuning of all other properties.
