Hi Neil,
They're made from an 8000mm Hydrostatic Head material, so pretty waterproof. As far as sizing goes I've managed to track down a chart that shows metric and imperial measurements and added it in to the images.

Fox/Matrix are one of the few brands that normally provides us with a sizing chart. Unfortunately in this case they still haven't released one.
